We are delighted to inform you that the Department of Information Technology, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), is organizing a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on
👉 “Information Theory and Mathematical Entropy in Artificial Intelligence”
from 17th February 2026 to 21st February 2026, at Jerusalem College of Engineering, Chennai.
This FDP aims to strengthen the conceptual and analytical understanding of faculty members in the domains of Information Theory, Mathematical Entropy, and their applications in Artificial Intelligence. The sessions will cover foundational principles such as entropy, mutual information, probability distributions, and their significance in machine learning, deep learning, and data science.
Expert sessions by eminent academicians and industry professionals will focus on bridging theoretical foundations with real-world AI applications. The programme is designed to help faculty members enhance their research orientation, adopt innovative pedagogical strategies, and align academic delivery with evolving industry and research requirements.
